Cuban American Artist Abstrk’s Latest Body of Work “Horsemen” to be Unveiled at Museum of Graffiti’s Private Gallery in Partnership with Levi’s®

August 8, 2026 and will run through the end of the month.

Born and raised in Miami, Mastrapa has built a reputation for pushing the boundaries of contemporary street art through a refined studio practice that blends graffiti influences, abstract expressionism, and deeply personal storytelling. His work reflects the evolution of an artist rooted in the streets while continuing to expand into the world of fine art, where bold compositions, layered textures, and symbolic imagery create emotional connections with viewers.

For this exhibition, Mastrapa presents a collection centered around one recurring figure: the horse. The imagery carries a deeply personal significance following the passing of the artist’s father in 2025. His father was a member of the undefeated 1973 Sleepy Hollow High School football team, whose team name was the “Horsemen.” The horse becomes a symbol of family, strength, resilience, and remembrance — transforming the exhibition into both a tribute to his father’s legacy and a reflection on the bonds that shape who we become.

The exhibition also continues Mastrapa’s exploration of unconventional materials, featuring several works created on stretched denim — a nod to the intersection of art, culture, fashion, and personal history. The denim canvas adds another layer of meaning to the work, connecting the artist’s Miami roots and street culture background with the timeless influence of Levi’s®.

To commemorate the opening, the first 100 guests will receive an exclusive Mastrapa screenprint stretched on denim, accompanied by a complimentary Levi’s tote bag — offering collectors a mini piece of the exhibition experience to take home. Complimentary craft cocktails will be provided by Truman Vodka.
