CREDENTIAL APPLICATION NOW OPEN FOR 2022 CAPITAL ONE ORANGE BOWL

The online application for media credentials for the 2022 Capital One Orange Bowl on December 30 is now open. Accredited media can access the credential application by logging on to http://www.orangebowl.org/media/pressbox/credential/ and following the link to the College Football Playoff and New Year’s Six Bowl Games credential page. Review and accept the College Football Playoff and New Year’s Six Bowl Games’ terms and conditions, then select “Capital One Orange Bowl Credentials” on the game selection page.

Accredited media should only complete the online credential application at this time if they will cover the 2022 Capital One Orange Bowl regardless of the participating teams. Accredited media that will be covering the game only if the team they cover is playingin the 2022 Capital One Orange Bowl should wait until the teams are announced on Sunday, Dec. 4.

The deadline for applications for all media outlets is Wednesday, Dec. 14, 2022 at 5 p.m. ET.

Sports editors/directors and/or photography editors need only complete ONE APPLICATION PER MEDIA AGENCY. They can request working media credentials for all members of their agency in a single application. When submitting the application, the sports editor/director and/or photography editor should list him/herself as the “contact” and register media members assigned to cover the 2022 Capital One Orange Bowl as “attendees.” If requiring credentials for him/herself, the “contact” will need to be added as an “attendee” as well.

Sports editors/directors and/or photo editors will need to register the organization’s name, type and contact information, as well as their frequency coordination needs. In order to be approved, the “contact” must also enter all of the “attendees’” birth dates, driver’s license numbers and submit a high-quality JPEG headshot.

Once completing the online application, media can also reserve hotel rooms at the Le Meridien Dania Beach at Fort Lauderdale Airport, the official media hotel headquarters of the 2022 Capital One Orange Bowl, at a special discounted rate of $221, including complimentary internet service in-room and in all meeting spaces.

The 2022 Capital One Orange Bowl will be played on Dec. 30 at 8 p.m. ET at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Fla. featuring a matchup between the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) Champion (or the highest-ranked ACC team if the champion is in the playoff), against a top opponent from the Big Ten, SEC, or Notre Dame.
