Cosmopolitan en español kicks off Miami Swim Week with a runway show featuring summer’s sexiest trends for both the style-savvy recessionista and the haute-est fashionista

Cosmopolitan en español hosted its fourth annual ‘Cosmo Summer Splash’ fashion show on Wednesday, July 14, 2010 at The Setai kicking off Miami Swim Week. Emceed by Telemundo’s Azucena Cierco along with Quique Usales, and attended by some of the city’s most influential personalities and trend-setters, the style event was a virtual look book of the season’s hottest trends in swimwear, accessories, hair and make up – fit for any budget.

Following a chic cocktail reception held within The Setai’s Polynesian-inspired courtyard, guests were greeted by host Azucena Cierco. “I am thrilled to present the fourth anniversary of Cosmo Summer Splash,’” said Cierco. “It is an honor to be in the presence of such a talented team of designers, stylists and beauticians, who have together created one of the most impressive presentations of sexy summer style I have ever seen. Most notably, Cosmopolitan en español has managed to pull together a collection of mixed looks for the most fashion-forward individual, whatever her lifestyle and budget may be.”

Kicking-off the runway show and styled by Natalija Dedic, looks from sponsors Sears and Kmart showcased by Front Management models offered South Floridians a glimpse of the season’s must have items from swimsuits and rompers to oversized glamorous straw hats. Iemanjá Swimwear, Seduce and Ashley Paige then kept the crowd mesmerized with colorful looks capable of turning heads from Miami Beach to St. Tropez. In a grand and much anticipated finale, Charlie by Matthew Zink made a splash with its signature black and gold pieces. Sky-high heels from Sergio Rossi Bal Harbor and sophisticated time-pieces by Hublot Watches along with heat- and humidity-friendly hair and make up provided by presenting sponsors Pantene and CoverGirl, completed each look. Special scents provided by Eva by Eva Longoria perfume kept the smell of summer in the air.
