The Girl Scout Council of Tropical Florida begins its annual sale of Girl Scout Cookies on January 13th across Miami-Dade and Monroe counties and continues through February 10, 2011. The organization has made it easier than ever to find your favorite box of cookies with the “Cookie Locator.” It is as simple as visiting http://cookielocator.littlebrownie.com and entering your zip code. A full list of locations near your area will be generated.
Additionally, more than 450 troops across Miami-Dade and Monroe counties are now selling Girl Scout Cookies to friends, neighbors and community members at booths and going door-to-door. These cookies not only include the popular Thin Mints, Samoas, Peanut Butter Patties, Dulce de Leche, Lemonades, Trefoils and Thank U Berry Munch Girl Scout Cookies.
These cookies are an icon of American Culture and the backbone of the Girl Scout Cookie Program, the leading entrepreneurial program for girls. Each box of cookies costs $4 and the proceeds from the purchase support Girl Scouts in your community. If you would like help the organization, but don’t want to eat the cookies, they can also be donated to the Cookies from the Heart Program, which donates the boxes of cookies to the men and women in the military instead.
