City of Miami Mayor Tomas Regalado will present the Keys to the City to Comendador Joe Berardo during the opening of the exhibition “Masterpieces from the Berardo Collection” at Gary Nader Art Centre dec 4 at 8:00PM.
The show, curated by Gary Nader, will showcase selected pieces from what is considered one of the finest collections of modern and contemporary art worldwide.
This is the first time that a museum show of this unparalleled magnitude will be presented in an art gallery offering an overview in the XX and XXI century visual art scene, particularly European and American art.
Featured artists include Bacon, Balthus, Basquiat, Botero, Calder, Dali, De Chirico, Duchamp, Ernst, Fontana, Kapoor, Kiefer, Klein, Koons, Lam, Leger, Lichtenstein, Magritte, Manzoni, Matta, Miro, Mondrian, Picasso, Polke, Richter, Rivera, Soulages, Stella, Twombly, Vieira da Silva, Warhol, Wesselmann, to name a few.
“Masterpieces from the Berardo Collection” opens to the public December 5th, 2012 to March 30, 2013. Gallery hours during Art Basel week are 10am to 7pm.
