Spike hosted a For Your Consideration Event for the members of the Television Academy at Saban Media Center in North Hollywood, California with a screening of “Lip Sync Battle” followed by a fun and lively discussion with host LL Cool J, Color Commentator Chrissy Teigen, and Series Executive Producers Casey Patterson, Jay Peterson andJohn Krasinski.

At the event, moderated by journalist/author David Wild, Executive Producer John Krasinskirecalled coming up with the idea for the show: “I came up with the idea in the car with Stephen Merchant and my wife [Emily Blunt]…we were coming up with an idea for Jimmy and we were lip syncing in the car. And I was crying laughing…and when I laugh, I laugh like a little princess girl…and I was weeping and having one of the best drives in my life.”

Color Commentator Chrissy Teigen opened up about her disappointment in her husband John Legend’s performance: “I love when people go balls to the wall so for him to do Slow Motion [Juvenile]…uhh. I begged him to do Backstreet Boys…I wanted him to do Britney [Spears] Hit Me Baby One More Time…put on the skirt and the sweat suit. We went home fighting that night!”

Host LL Cool J admitted to booking challenges for the show: “We’re excited about everybody but it’s not easy…these people are busy and don’t want to risk looking silly. I’ve left a lot of creepy text messages on some celebrity phones out there that if they ever hit twitter or instagram, I’ll be looking real crazy!” Teigen chimed in, “I asked Michelle Obama…there’s nothing creepier than that!”
