Children’s Diagnostic & Treatment Center Unveils Donor Wall to Supporters

Children’s Diagnostic & Treatment Center (CDTC) unveiled its Donor Wall on Thursday, March 24, 2011 at an intimate reception held at the Center. Over seventy longtime supporters attended the event hosted by CDTC’s Board of Directors. The Donor Wall was created by mosaic artist Todd Michael Hanna to recognize the Center’s dedicated friends of its first twenty five years.

Guests were able to tour the building and to meet staff members from the various programs throughout the evening. The wall was unveiled after speeches by Board Chair Shari McCartney, Executive Director Dr. Susan Widmayer and Board Co-chair Ira Vernon. Mrs. Spring John, whose children have been seen at CDTC for many years, gave a moving speech about the services and support CDTC offers its families and the difficulties of caring for children with special health care needs.

The Children’s Diagnostic & Treatment Center (CDTC) is a not-for-profit organization that serves more than 10,000 children with special health care needs in Broward County.
