Children’s Diagnostic & Treatment Center’s Sunflower of Circle of Friends Hosts Open House

Children’s Diagnostic & Treatment Center’s (CDTC) Sunflower Circle of Friends hosted an Open House on Thursday, September 15, 2011 to introduce members of the community to their work in support of the Center.  More than 35 guests toured the Center for the first time and were introduced to the Sunflower Circle of Friends.  Guests also had the opportunity to assist Sunflower members with some of their projects, such as preparing welcome bags for new clients. The Open House included a catered brunch generously provided by the Hyatt Regency, Pier 66 Hotel.

In 2011, the Sunflower Circle of Friends contributed over $22,000 to support CDTC’s Primary Care Clinic, created welcome bags for hundreds of new families to help keep their children healthy, stocked and maintained the Food Pantry, and assisted in Center-wide events such as the Back to School Drive and the Kids to Camp initiative.

“It was a wonderful opportunity to introduce members of the community to the work done by the Sunflower Circle of Friends for the children of CDTC,” said Susie Perlman, President of the Sunflower Circle of Friends.
