Championship Cup Series Motorcycle Racing Returns; Pit-Pass Tickets Start at $15

Homestead-Miami SpeedwayChampionship Cup Series of Florida (CCS) motorcycle racing returns to Homestead-Miami Speedway this weekend.  A huge field of over 400 entries from throughout the United States, Canada and South America are expected to compete in 19 different races on the challenging 2.21 mile, 13-turn road course.

SPOTLIGHT: Expert rider Santiago Villa of Colombia won three CCS Overall Championships in 2010 and returns to Homestead-Miami Speedway with the 2011 Championship points lead while Miami’s Fernando Silva leads the amateur points competition.

 

SATURDAY: Gates Open: 8 a.m.

Practice & Time Trials: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

 

SUNDAY: Gates Open: 7 a.m.

Practice: 8-9 a.m.

GT Races (5): 9:30-11:30 a.m.

Sprint Races (14): 12-5 p.m.

 

ADMISSION: General Admission includes Paddock Pass: Saturday/$15; Sunday/$20

2-Day Pass: $30 (Children under 12: free; Parking: FREE)

 

DIRECTIONS:                       From North: Turnpike south to Exit 6/Speedway Blvd./SW 137th Ave.; left 5 miles to Gate 18/infield tunnel; From South: U.S. 1 north to Palm Dr.; go right four miles to Speedway; follow signs to Gate 18/infield tunnel
