In this tour-de-force musical tale of love and survival in the 1942 Warsaw Ghetto, a cast of vibrant young stage actors perform a lively musical comedy, bringing some joy to their sadly desperate audience. With propulsive camera work and jaunty songs by Emmy-winning composer Victor Reyes, this breathless, beautifully crafted play-within-a-film pays homage to the dedicated artists who ignited a flame in times of darkness.
