CATWALK CONFIDENTIAL, makes its Miami debut March 17-20

Now celebrating its Fifth Anniversary Season, the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts of Miami-Dade County proudly presents the Miami premiere of Catwalk Confidential, an alluring journey into the world of 1970’s Paris high fashion. Written by and starring former über model ROBYN PETERSON, this autobiographical one-woman play recounts her arrival in Paris as a fresh-faced 16-year-old from Miami chosen to model for some of the world’s top fashion houses. In a whirlwind of glamour, sex and drugs, ROBYN soon discovers that there is one thing to fear above all else – AGE. And especially the younger girl vying for a place on the catwalk! Catwalk Confidentialmakes its Miami debut in the Carnival Studio Theater (Ziff Ballet Opera House), March 17 – 20, 2011.

Tickets to Catwalk Confidential are on sale now. Tickets are $40 and may be purchased through the Adrienne Arsht Center box office by calling (305) 949-6722, or online at www.arshtcenter.org.

Before Kate, Naomi, and Claudia, ROBYN PETERSON was the model to watch. Part-memoir and part cautionary tale, PETERSON offers a revealing, funny, and cautionary look at the designers, models and photographers behind the glamour and decadence at the upper echelon of fashion — and what they sacrificed to get to the top.

Catwalk Confidential, serves dual points in the Adrienne Arsht Center mission – we are importing the finest work from the international stage for the enjoyment of Miami audiences and, at the same time, we have the honor of presenting the work of yet another Miami native on our stage,” said John Richard, president and CEO of the Adrienne Arsht Center. ”This insider’s look is tailor made for Miami audiences who experience high fashion at every turn.”
