On Tuesday, June 7th, Casa D’Angelo’s Founder and Chef Angelo Elia, along with his wife Denise, closed their Fort Lauderdale restaurant to graciously host the 14th Annual ‘A Taste of Italy’ benefitting PACE Center for Girls Broward. More than 140 guests attended the event, co-chaired by Jane Wexton and Marvin Pickholz, which raised $99,000 to help fund year round academic, counseling and life skills services for girls enrolled at PACE Center for Girls Broward.
The evening’s festivities began with a reception followed by a fast-paced auction of premium wines and vacation/entertainment packages. After the auction, guests dined on a four-course Tuscan dinner prepared by Chef Angelo. Since its inception, ‘A Taste of Italy’, has raised more than $700,000 with the mission to build better futures for young women through education, counseling, training and advocacy.
