Caribbean American Heritage Month Celebration

June 2 – 4
Las Olas Oceanside Park

The Caribbean culture is taking center stage this weekend at the annual Caribbean Marketplace in Miami. The event, which features a full marketplace of local food, art, and makers, as well as live entertainment, is a celebration of the vibrant and diverse cultures of the Caribbean.

One of the highlights of the marketplace is de Linen Clothing & Macrame Accessories, which showcases handmade clothing and accessories from local artisans. Another must-see booth is Gama Sabedra Gallery, featuring the work of Cuban artist Yennit Hernandez.

Those with a sweet tooth will not want to miss Kens Jammin’ Jelly’s booth, which offers delicious scotch bonnet and mango jellies. And for those looking for unique fashion accessories, La Moda Accessories and Rêve Jewelry & Accessories offer custom-designed jewelry made with Caribbean flair.

But the marketplace isn’t just for adults. Children can enjoy face painting on Saturday sponsored by Brion Ross Law Group and an exciting selfie station sponsored by Island Space Caribbean Museum.

Live entertainment is also a central part of the Caribbean Marketplace experience, with music and dance performances showcasing everything from Calypso to Salsa. Friday night’s lineup includes the Sounds of Jamaica, hosted by Lifetime Achievement Award winner for the International Reggae & World Music Awards Tanto Irie. The evening will feature performances by Jamaican Music Hall of Fame Inductees Inner Circle, known as the Bad Boys of Reggae.

We hope that you will enjoy this year’s Caribbean Marketplace and celebrate the unique cultures of the Caribbean.
