On Sunday, the Cadillac Formula 1 Team will race on U.S. soil for the first time at the Miami International Autodrome. Alongside the impressive MAC-26 Grand Prix cars driven by Sergio Perez and Valtteri Bottas, Cadillac is unveiling a groundbreaking new vehicle — the CT5-V Blackwing F1 Collector Series — the first American-made car to sport official Formula 1 branding.
Limited to just 26 units, the CT5-V Blackwing F1 Collector Series celebrates Cadillac’s entrance into the elite world of F1. Based on the award-winning CT5-V Blackwing, this track-inspired sedan features Midnight Stone Frost livery with silver, gray, and black accents, alongside FIA and F1 logos, echoing the MAC-26 racecars’ design.
Powered by an upgraded 6.2L supercharged V-8 producing 685 horsepower with a six-speed manual transmission, each vehicle includes Cadillac’s Precision Package—carbon-ceramic brakes and chassis enhancements designed for high performance. Mark Reuss, GM President, describes the car as a “curated centerpiece that embodies Cadillac’s innovative entry into Formula 1.”
Miami’s Grand Prix, debuting in 2022, is now a flagship event on the F1 calendar, reflecting the sport’s rapid growth in North America. Cadillac’s celebration continues at Jungle Plaza in the Miami Design District, which transforms into Cadillac Formula 1 Team Miami Headquarters May 2-3. Fans can experience V-Series cars, shop team merchandise, and catch Perez and Bottas during race weekend, with Perez making a special appearance Saturday.
Though Cadillac’s F1 journey is still young, the launch of the CT5-V Blackwing F1 Collector Series marks a major milestone in American motorsport history, blending racing prestige with automotive excellence.
