BROTHERS tells a powerful story of two siblings, thirty-something Captain Sam Cahill (Tobey Maguire) and younger brother Tommy Cahill (Jake Gyllenhaal), who are polar opposites. Marine Captain Sam, a family man married to his high school sweetheart, Grace (Natalie Portman), with whom he has two young daughters, goes missing in Afghanistan. As Tommy, his charismatic younger brother assumes the role of caretaker for Grace and two children, Grace and Tommy are naturally drawn together gaining a mutual attraction for one another. When Sam unexpectedly returns to the States he grows suspicious of both his brother and his wife.
