BRET MICHAELS: FIRST TIME EVER POISON FRONT MAN AND CELEBRITY APPRENTICE WINNER TO HEADLINE THE ARIZONA STATE FAIR SATURDAY OCTOBER 23RD

Bret Michaels is set to appear at the Arizona State Fair October 23, 2010.   Michaels’ states “I am really excited to be playing the Arizona State Fair in October.  Not only will I be playing all the Poison hits but I will have a chance to play some of my more recent solo hits as well.   I will make it a rock and roll party like no other. I have a home in Arizona and I really love the people, the weather and being here as much as I can.”   Michaels who has recently underwent an emergency appendectomy, been hospitalized for a subarachnoid brain hemorrhage and suffered a warning stroke, plans to resume his tour on May 28th in Biloxi Mississippi.  Michaels last stop in Phoenix was at a sold out show at Cricket Amphitheater with is band mates Poison and Def Leppard.   Michaels still holds the attendance record for his Bike Week performance and also participated on the charity ride as he is an avid biker. 

Besides Michaels’s 20 some year music career , the singer recently won  NBC’S Celebrity Apprentice and performed on the Season Finale of American Idol .  He has also appeared on such shows as the record breaking series Rock of Love, Fox’s  Don’t Forget the Lyrics and USA Network’s Nashville Star.  While on Celebrity Apprentice, Michaels raised  over 390K for his charity, the ADA to send kids to diabetic camps, as the singer suffers from lifelong diabetes. His new show “Bret Michaels:  Life… As I Know It” premieres on VH1 this fall.  Fans can catch a sneak peak Memorial Day (Monday May 31st) on VH1.
