On Thursday, March 28, Bellini Williams Island, a new Martin Z. Margulies development in Aventura, partnered with ArtNexus Magazine—a 36-year-old publication focused on Latin American art—to host an exclusive event of which was highlighted by a perceptive conversation on Contemporary Brazilian Art between Margulies and Celia Sredni de Birbragher, the publication’s editor in chief.
The evening soirée brought together community leaders and the art world elite. Showcasing select Brazilian works from the private collections of Margulies and Birbragher, the progressive event began with an outdoor cocktail reception, followed by an informal art talk inside the sales center on Brazilian Art’s evolution in the marketplace—which was peppered with personal collecting anecdotes. The occasion also unveiled Bellini’s partnership with Brazilian luxury furnishings company, Artefacto, for the design of its model units, and featured tours of the development.
“In recent years, Brazilian Art has come to the forefront of the art world, attracting attention from collectors around the globe,” said Margulies. “I enjoyed discussing industry trends and collection pieces with such a seasoned collector of Latin American works as Celia, all while showcasing a new masterpiece in the condo market – Bellini Williams Island.”
Conceptualized by the creative eye of a noted art collector, Bellini Williams Island is a 25-story tower overlooking the intracoastal and Atlantic Ocean. The boutique development offers 70 exclusive residences, a variety of floor plans ranging in size from 2,235-4,995 square feet of living space. With only four units per floor, all residences offer three bedrooms, 10-foot ceilings (with the exception of the penthouses) and floor-to-ceiling windows, and they range in price from $1 to $4 million. Among the amenities are celebrity chef Eric Ripert-designed Poggenpohl penthouse kitchens, a landscaped sundeck and pool area, private media room, 24-hour security and concierge. Residents also enjoy access to the Williams Island Club—currently undergoing a $6 million renovation—which features a health spa, tennis courts, restaurants and the 106-slip Williams Island Marina.
Bellini Williams Island—the only new construction in Aventura—topped off in November 2012 and is slated for completion this summer.
