Badia Spices’ Fun and Fit as a Family featuring Goya Foods Kidz Kitchen at the Phillip and Patricia Frost Museum of Science

The 17th annual Food Network & Cooking Channel South Beach Wine & Food Festival(SOBEWFF®) returns to EAT. DRINK. EDUCATE. February 21 – 25, 2018, and brings back the opportunity for fans of all ages to be a part of the action at Badia Spices’ Fun and Fit as a Family featuring Goya Foods Kidz Kitchen.  The 11th annual edition of the Festival’s family-friendly event will take place on Saturday, February 24 and Sunday, February 25 at the Phillip and Patricia Frost Museum of Science. Once again, it will bring back the healthy food samplings, fitness activities, interactive learning experiences, book signings, and star-studded Goya Foods Kidz Kitchen culinary demonstrations that the event is known for.

This year’s line-up of talent will demonstrate their favorite kid-friendly recipes in the Goya Foods Kidz Kitchen on a set courtesy of Panda Kitchen in the MeLaß, located in the Baptist Health South Florida Gallery at Frost Science.  The schedule includes the following:

The entire family can take part in tastings, giveaways and activities provided by the Goya Imagination Kitchen, hydration stations and fitness activities from Baptist Health South Florida, run bicycle blenders with The Education Effect, and enjoy samples from KIND® Healthy Snacks, LaCroix Sparkling Water, Opal Apples, and more.  Plus, everyone gets to enjoy all of the interactive activities and learning experiences provided by Frost Science.

This year, the Festival is also offering a more decadent opportunity for kids and their parents to get in on the action at the Family Ice Cream Social hosted by Duff Goldman.  Taking place on Sunday, February 25 at Loews Miami Beach Hotel, more than a dozen creameries and parlors from across the country will delight fans of all ages with unique flavors, sandwiches, floats, sundaes, and more.  With wines and libations to keep the adults satisfied and activities to keep the kids occupied, this is one Sunday afternoon soirée the whole family can indulge in.

EAT. DRINK. EDUCATE.  Tickets to these events and more are available online at sobewff.org or by calling 877.762.3933 (phone sales open Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM EST).  For the two aforementioned family-friendly events, children ages 2 and under do not need a ticket.

Between SOBEWFF® and its sister NYCWFF, which takes place each October in New York City, more than $37 million has been raised to benefit the respective charities for each Festival.  Beyond the funds raised, both Festivals draw attention to the vibrant dining culture in their respective cities, provide economic stimulus in their communities, and serve as an invaluable platform to drive awareness, engaging and inspiring people to get involved in philanthropic activities.

Spread the love!
