B.E.D.’S NEW THURSDAY NIGHT IS “THE CAT’S MEOW”
Dinner party and theater show with a playful twist
B.E.D., South Beach’s unique nightlife experience introduces a sexy Thursday dinner party with the launch of “The Cat’s Meow,” a frisky mix of burlesque performances, interactive acts and irresistible new menu.
The popular gastro-lounge has joined forces with impresario Christopher McCoy, from Swank Entertainment to produce the “bohemian culture show” and supper club featuring contemporary song and dance numbers laced with comedy, as well as more exotic displays of exhibitionism such as contortionists, fire acts and dramatic theatre. On any given Thursday, guests will be greeted by a risqué Sarah Palin look-a-like, complete with signature eyeglasses and red suit – sans skirt – or a leather bodysuit-clad “kitten,” purring and crawling from bed to bed as she’s whipped by her mistress. A night at The Cat’s Meow is an experience unique in all of South Beach. Its visuals are reminiscent of the dark theatrics of early 20th century Paris – think Moulin Rouge meets Miami Beach.
Executive Chef Vitor Casassola has created a show-stopping $50 prix fix menu, served at 8:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. seatings:
PRELUDE: AMUSE BUSE – Ginger sesame tuna with guacamole on crostini
ACT I: COLD STARTERS – Brie endive salad OR Salmon tartare on apple fennel remoulade
ACT II: HOT STARTERS – Duck confit spring roll OR Shrimp scampi over cheddar grits
THE MAIN EVENT: ENTRÉES – Chilean sea bass with vermouth cream sauce OR Beef tenderloin with mushroom risotto drizzled with a cabernet sauce
CURTAIN CALL: DESSERT – Coconut flan OR Chocolate lava cake with vanilla ice cream
