Aventura Mall, Miami’s premier fashion destination, will bring shoppers holiday cheer with an exciting lineup of happenings throughout the season.Santa’s arrival, a spectacular showcase of nearly one million lights, extended holiday hours, and the newly debuted Citi® Lounge will provide a unique experience with every visit.
When the day turns to night, shoppers will marvel at Aventura Mall’s “Illumination.” Lighting up Saturday, Nov. 15, the mall’s exterior will feature more than 11,000 strings of white lights, 175 snowflakes and more. The glistening, must-see attraction requires more than 3,700 man hours to complete and includes more than 56 miles of lights.
Also on Saturday, Nov. 15, Santa’s Village will return to Aventura Mall. This five-tier, 52-foot tall display is highlighted by Santa, Mrs. Claus and their elves, along with an elaborate holiday tree and an animated show that includes lights, music and special holiday characters. Located in Fountain Court, Santa’s Village will be open Monday through Saturday from 12 p.m. – 8 p.m. Extended hours will include Monday, Dec. 12 through Tuesday, Dec. 23 from 9 a.m. – 9 p.m. and Wednesday, Dec. 24 from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Also this year, Aventura Mall will host the new Citi® Lounge in Center Court. The Citi® Lounge is open to the public and will feature fashion, beauty and taste events from Aventura Mall stores, restaurants, and partners. Furthermore, Citi® customers visiting the lounge will receive special benefits, including complimentary coffee, gift wrapping on select purchases and more. Additionally, kids and grown-ups always enjoy “Aventura’s Model Train Station,” a 16 by 29-foot display that features electric trains whistling their way through a village, amusement park, old time mill, and snowcapped mountain ranges. The model train station will be located in JCPenney Court.
To kick-off the holiday shopping season, Aventura Mall will open Thursday, Nov. 27 from 6 p.m. until Midnight and Friday, Nov. 28 from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. Its extended holiday hours will run through Wednesday, Dec. 24.
