Audi debuts in Milan – with Moritz Waldemeyer

Audi Presents ‘Lucid Flux’ at Milan Design Week – April 13-19 2010

An innovative light installation designed by Moritz Waldemeyer will celebrate Audi’s iconic A1 and A8 luxury sedan car models at this year’s Salone del Mobile in Milan. ‘Lucid Flux’ will illustrate the aerodynamic efficiency of the cars,   embodying the connecting life stages that each car represents. A cascade of 2,000 lights, flickering between turbulence and harmony, will form abstract patterns, and an interactive text display will invite visitors to reveal their memories of treasured cars – thus reflecting the Audi mantra: ‘lifetime companionship’. Waldemeyer has worked across the industries of design, architecture, fashion, photography and music – creating collaborations and commissions from the likes of Philippe Starck, Zaha Hadid, Hussein Chalayan, U2 and Rihanna.  Lucid Flux will be displayed in the headquarters of Ermenegildo Zegna, in Milan’s creative hub, the Tortona district.
