ASTON MARTIN RESIDENCES ART GALLERY PRESENTS AN INTERSPECIES EXHIBITION WITH SAVE THE CHIMPS

In a groundbreaking collaboration that bridges art, philanthropy, and luxury living, the Aston Martin Residences in Miami has unveiled a virtual art exhibition featuring the poignant works of Save The Chimps. This innovative partnership marks a significant milestone as the iconic luxury residences welcome their first non-profit organization to showcase its unique artistic endeavors.

The exhibit, aptly named “Interspecies,” offers viewers a mesmerizing glimpse into the creative world of chimpanzee artists residing at Save The Chimps, a leading sanctuary dedicated to providing compassionate care and refuge for chimpanzees in need. Through an immersive three-dimensional experience, visitors can explore the visually captivating collection that celebrates the bond between humans and our primate counterparts.

At the heart of the exhibit are collaborative paintings created by renowned members of the legendary B-52s band, including Kate Pierson, Fred Schneider, and Cindy Wilson, alongside the talented chimp artists from Save The Chimps. Infused with vibrant colors inspired by the band’s iconic album covers, each acrylic-on-canvas masterpiece bears the distinctive touch of both human and ape artists, underscoring the shared creativity and expression that transcends species boundaries.

Furthermore, the exhibit features original prints generously donated by artist Karen Bystedt from her acclaimed ‘Lost Warhols’ series, offering a unique canvas for the chimps to unleash their artistic flair in a manner reminiscent of Andy Warhol’s experimental techniques. These collaborative pieces reflect a harmonious fusion of human ingenuity and primate artistry, showcasing the power of interspecies collaboration in the realm of contemporary art.

Noteworthy additions to the exhibition include five striking paintings that pay homage to classic Aston Martin models, adorned with colorful brushstrokes contributed by the ape artists. Each piece exudes a sense of elegance and dynamism, echoing the timeless sophistication synonymous with the luxury brand.

Dan Mathews, Director of Events at Save The Chimps, expressed his enthusiasm for the partnership, highlighting the sanctuary’s commitment to showcasing the diverse talents of its resident chimps on a global stage. The virtual exhibit not only serves as a testament to the sanctuary’s mission of advocacy and care but also sets the stage for future collaborations with celebrities and esteemed brands in the art world.

As viewers navigate through the immersive 3D virtual gallery hosted on the Aston Martin Residences website, they are invited to witness the transformative power of art, compassion, and cross-species connection. By bringing together human artists, ape artisans, and the allure of luxury living, “Interspecies” emerges as a celebration of creativity, empathy, and the enduring spirit of collaboration.
