ASIAN REAL ESTATE ASSOCIATION (AREAA) LAUNCHES GREATER MIAMI CHAPTER AND ANNOUNCES PANEL LINEUP FOR INAUGURAL EVENT

unnamed-4The Asian Real Estate Association of America (AREAA) will officially launch its Greater Miami Chapter on Friday, September 18, 2015 at InterContinental Hotel in Downtown Miami, featuring an installation ceremony, followed by two real estate panel discussions that will be open to the public.

Local South Florida dignitaries, VIP guests and city officials will be among those in attendance for the installation ceremony, while the panels will focus on Miami as a global brand, Miami’s ranking among other world class cities as it pertains to Asian buyers, as well as a panel on luxury real estate in Miami and Fort Lauderdale featuring some of Miami’s prominent developers, and leaders in Miami’s health, education and transportation sectors.

“We’ve seen so many foreign real estate investors flocking to the Miami market for obvious reasons; Miami’s rich, cultural diversity, the attractive cosmopolitan lifestyle- and it’s an exciting place to be” said Carmen Chong, Asian Real Estate Association of America (AREAA)’s National Chairwoman. “We’ve also started to see a trend of Asian American migration to the Southeast, so I’m excited to see this chapter grow and serve our community.”

The launch of the Greater Miami Chapter is timely. According to the US National Homebuyers Association, wealthy Chinese are the largest group of foreign real-estate buyers in the US, with Chinese buyers accounting for 16% of the single homes and condominiums purchased by foreign buyers.

“We’ve started to see Asian buyers taking a closer look at our city, and AREAA is the only trade association dedicated to representing the interests of the Asian real estate market nationwide,” said Francisco Angulo, Founder of the Greater Miami Chapter for AREAA and Managing Broker for Coldwell Banker Coconut Grove Office.  “Joining AREAA’s Great Miami Chapter is invaluable to any real estate professional in Miami who is serious about this demographic,” added Angulo.

“The enrollment of Asian students at University of Miami has also from 60 to 1,500 in the last five years,” saysNinoska Fabbri, AREAA Greater Miami Chapter Liason and owner of Owner of 5iMiami Realty. “With direct flights from Asia underway, more Asians will be flocking to South Florida for both business and pleasure.’

Members of AREAA’s Greater Miami Chapter will represent a broad array of real estate, mortgage and housing-related professionals that serve the diverse Asian American market.
