Donald Lambert earned his BFA from the University of Cincinnati, DAAP and his MFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Lambert has developed a creative practice that includes object-making and social practice, as well as investigative migratory and fluid aspects of identity. Labor is central to his work. Personal narrative and history is integral to his process. His training as a sculptor and experience organizing humanitarian work has created a diverse body of work, which in addition to his studio practice includes on-going projects in the Caribbean and the Amazon basin. His notable exhibitions include Miami Art Museum, Nerman Museum of Contemporary Art, Art & Culture Center of Hollywood (solo), and Cincinnati Art Museum (solo).
