Uchi Miami Closes Its Summer Dinner Series with an Exclusive Uchibā Preview

Uchi Miami is closing out its 2026 Summer Dinner Series on Thursday, September 24 from 6:30–9:30 p.m. with a one-night collaboration that doubles as a first look at one of the most anticipated restaurant openings of the fall: Uchibā Miami, the izakaya-inspired sister concept arriving in Mary Brickell Village this November.

Now in its third year, the Summer Dinner Series has brought Wynwood's beloved Uchi together with some of South Florida's most exciting culinary talent for a series of one-night-only collaborations. This year's lineup included Yoso Sushi, Over/Under, and Cotoa — and the finale raises the stakes considerably.

The closing dinner pairs Uchi Miami with Uchibā Miami, which will open at 900 S. Miami Ave., Space 185 in Mary Brickell Village. The izakaya-inspired concept follows in the footsteps of Uchi and Uchiko in Miami Beach, offering seasonal daily specials, buns and bao, dumplings, yakitori grill selections, nigiri and sashimi, makimono, and hot and cold tastings alongside craft Japanese cocktails and spirits.

Headlining the evening is Tyson Cole, the James Beard Award–winning founder and chef behind the Uchi restaurant group, who will be in Miami specifically for this dinner. Guests will have the rare opportunity to meet Cole and speak with him as he leads the interactive, intimate event.
