GraceKennedy Opens Applications for 2027 Jamaican Birthright Programme — Miami Interviews Planned for Spring

GraceKennedy is inviting second- and third-generation Jamaicans from the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom to apply for its 2027 Jamaican Birthright Programme — an all-expenses-paid, six-week experience that combines internship placements within GraceKennedy's Jamaican operations with immersive cultural exploration across the island. Applications are open now and close November 30, 2026.

Since its launch in 2004, more than 60 young people from the Jamaican diaspora have participated in the programme, leaving with stronger professional skills and deeper ties to their heritage. The 2026 programme was postponed due to Hurricane Melissa; the 2027 edition marks the programme's return.

Four candidates will be selected for the 2027 programme: two from the United States, one from Canada, and one from the United Kingdom. Shortlisted applicants will be invited to in-person interviews in Miami, New York, Toronto, and London in spring 2027, with successful candidates announced ahead of the programme's commencement in June.

To be eligible, applicants must be second- or third-generation Jamaicans from the diaspora, between the ages of 18 and 25, and currently enrolled at a university in the US, Canada, or UK. Applications are accepted at gracekennedy.com. For additional information, email [email protected].
