On Saturday, September 26, Grammy-nominated Cuban singer Aymée Nuviola brings her celebrated 90 Millas concert to Coral Gables. Known for her powerful voice and deep roots in Cuban son, salsa, and jazz, Nuviola has performed on stages around the world and earned a devoted following across South Florida's Latin music community. The 90 Millas concert — named for the 90 miles that separate Cuba from the Florida Keys — is a tribute to the music, culture, and spirit of the island. On Friday, October 2, Gables Gallery Night returns for another evening of art, culture, and community along Miracle Mile and the surrounding streets. Galleries, studios, and cultural spaces open their doors for extended hours, offering a self-guided tour of the visual arts scene in one of South Florida's most walkable and architecturally rich neighborhoods. The event is free and open to the public — a perfect first-Friday outing for art lovers and first-timers alike.
Earlier this fall, the BID presented Giralda in Bloom — a floral canopy installation that transformed Giralda Avenue into a fragrant, photogenic corridor of blooms — and Gables Bike Tours, guided cycling experiences through the neighborhood's landmark Mediterranean Revival architecture and lush canopy streets. Both events reflect the BID's ongoing commitment to activating Coral Gables' public spaces with programming that draws residents and visitors alike.
