There Is a Credit Card Benefit That Unlocks Primetime Reservations at Miami's Most Sought-After Tables
Chase Sapphire Reserve cardholders get exclusive access to primetime reservations and special events at participating restaurants through OpenTable — plus a $300 annual dining credit at select restaurants. In Miami, this means access to tables that are otherwise unavailable during peak hours. The benefit runs through June 2030.

Chase Sapphire Reserve cardholders have access to a benefit that most people who hold the card have not fully used: exclusive primetime reservations and special events at participating restaurants through OpenTable, plus a $300 annual dining credit at select restaurants. The benefit runs through June 2030.
The mechanics: connect your Sapphire Reserve card to your OpenTable account, complete the eligibility check, and the primetime inventory unlocks. Participating restaurant inventory that is not booked before the reservation day may be released to general OpenTable inventory — which means the window for cardholders is real, not theoretical. The $300 dining credit splits into two $150 periods: January through June, and July through December.
What This Means in Miami
Miami has a reservation problem. The most sought-after tables — Boia De, Sunny's Steakhouse, Hakkasan on a Saturday night, the Sushi | Bar omakase counter — book out days or weeks in advance. The primetime inventory that Sapphire Reserve unlocks is the inventory that does not appear in the standard OpenTable search. It is the 8pm Saturday table at a restaurant that shows no availability to the general public.
The special events access is the other angle. Hakkasan's Grand Cru wine cellar tasting, the Uchiko Wine & Wagyu dinner, the Donna Mare pasta class — these are the kinds of experiences that appear on the Sapphire Reserve OpenTable benefit page before they appear anywhere else.
The Setup
Visit opentable.com or the OpenTable app. Sign in or create a free account. Complete the eligibility check with your Sapphire Reserve card. The benefit activates within four business days for new cardmembers. The $300 dining credit applies automatically to qualifying purchases at select restaurants — no activation required beyond the initial card connection.
The list of participating restaurants changes. The benefit page at opentable.com/sapphire-reserve-exclusive-tables is the current source. For Miami, the participating restaurants include some of the most difficult tables in the city.

The Case for Cuban Food as Fine Dining Has Been Made in Miami for Decades. Most Guides Still Miss It.
Cuban cuisine is the foundational food culture of Miami. It is also the most underrepresented cuisine in the city's fine dining conversation. The restaurants that are doing the most interesting work with Cuban flavors — elevating the ropa vieja, the picadillo, the mojo-marinated pork — are not the ones that appear in most dining guides.

Hakkasan's Wine Cellar Counter Is the Most Interesting Seat in Miami Right Now
