Inside the Buccellati Bal Harbour Reopening — A Night of Milanese Craft and Quiet Luxury
Co-creative director Lucrezia Buccellati presided over an intimate evening at the newly renovated Bal Harbour boutique, where a Milanese artisan brought the house's century-old goldsmithing traditions to life.
Part of our ongoing curation of what it means to live, love, and play in the Magic City.
There are evenings in Miami that feel like they belong to another era entirely. The reopening of the Buccellati boutique at Bal Harbour Shops was one of them.
Co-creative director Lucrezia Buccellati presided over the evening, bringing with her the full weight of a house that has been crafting high jewelry in Milan since 1919. The newly renovated boutique — intimate, warm, and unmistakably Italian in its sensibility — welcomed guests into a world where every surface and every piece tells a story of Renaissance-era craft carried forward into the present.
The evening's centerpiece was a live demonstration by a master artisan flown in from Milan — a rare opportunity to watch Buccellati's signature goldsmithing techniques up close. The house is known for its rigato and telato engraving methods, which give the metal a textile-like quality unlike anything else in fine jewelry. Watching those hands work, surrounded by champagne and conversation, made the craft feel immediate and alive.
Guests moved through the space with the unhurried ease of people who understand that the best things take time. The boutique's displays — each piece a study in restraint and precision — drew long looks and quiet conversation. The orange resin and silver pieces on the consultation table drew particular attention: bold in color, delicate in execution, unmistakably Buccellati.
This is Love Miami — the fashion, the craft, the houses that have been doing this for a century and still make it feel new. Buccellati at Bal Harbour is exactly that.
The evening closed with Lucrezia signing copies of the Buccellati Assouline monograph — Buccellati: Milano Dal 1919 — a gesture that felt entirely in keeping with the house's character: generous, personal, and rooted in the belief that the story behind the object matters as much as the object itself.
The Buccellati Bal Harbour Boutique is located at Bal Harbour Shops, 9700 Collins Ave, Bal Harbour, FL 33154. Visit buccellati.com for more information.
