Arteaméricas Attendees Visit EPIC Residences’ First Ever VIP Lounge

Attendees at this year’s Arteaméricas, the largest Latin American art fair in the country which took place March 26 – 29 at the Miami Beach Convention Center, were treated to a high-end display of rarely-seen works by renowned Chilean Surrealist, Roberto Matta as part of the event’s first-ever EPIC Residences VIP Lounge.

Curated by Miami-based Diana Lowenstein Fine Arts Gallery, which also compiled EPIC Residences’ 100-piece, $2 million, museum-quality art collection, the Matta display at the EPIC VIP Lounge featured several works by the artist from the period 1985 to 1994.  Worth nearly $400,000 in total, the works, which had not been on public display in some time, included oil on canvas, mixed media on paper, and lithographs.

EPIC’s VIP Lounge gave show-goers a place to appreciate and enjoy Matta’s distinctive modern style in an intimate and relaxed setting while also experiencing the EPIC lifestyle.  A few of the notable guests who stopped by EPIC’s VIP Lounge included Dr. Sanford Ziff , founder of Sunglass Hut International, Carmen Betancourt-Lewis, vice president of Miami Today,  with Martin Elortegui, senior vice president, sales & marketing of Lionstone Development Inc., and Bernard Garsen and designer Daisy Olivera.

In addition to the pieces by Matta that were on display at the VIP Lounge, another Matta piece – Overamen, is featured at EPIC Residences among the dozens of works installed throughout the property to create an artistically inspired, modern urban lifestyle reflective of the sophisticated style, and elegant design essence of EPIC’s exterior and interior spaces.
