Art Kabinett: Featuring 30 galleries – a new record for the sector

For this year’s edition of Art Kabinett, the Selection Committee has chosen 30 galleries, more than ever before, to present tightly focused exhibitions within Art Basel Miami Beach. The strong program will include thematic group exhibitions as well as solo shows by emerging artists and historical figures.

Since its conception in 2005, Art Kabinett has become a treasured sector of the show as it gives galleries a platform to display the curatorial aspect of their work.

This year’s sector will feature a wide array of artists, ranging from young artists such as Martin Jacobson (Andréhn-Schiptjenko), Adrián Villar Rojas (Benzacar) and Claudia Wieser (Sies + Höke), to historical figures like Beatrice Wood (Nauman), Yves Klein and John Cage (Gmurzynska). Group shows include the exhibitions ‘Repetitions – Art Works in Plural’ (Kicken Berlin) and ‘The Two of Us’ (Adler & Conkright).
