Taking the helm again will be Giancarlo Rodaz, who has been officially recognized for his ground-breaking theatrical achievements by the Miami New Times as this year’s “Best Director,” as well as receiving top honors in the region at the Carbonell and Silver Palm Awards.

Now, he’s back with more of his interactive vision, inviting audience members into a seaside tavern to share timeless myths with sailors and pirates. In a quest to put together the most awe-striking show, Area Stage Company has brought back much of Beauty’s trusted creative team and a few favorite returning cast members while introducing accomplished New York actors to take on the lead roles, including Josslyn Shaw (Ariel), Henry Thrasher (Prince Eric), Jonathan Chrisholm (Ursula) and Hallie Walker (Flounder).
