Area 31 and The Grill on the Alley Reveal Miami Spice Menus

The Greater Miami Convention & Visitors Bureau (GMCVB) presents the annual Miami Spice August through September. Participating restaurants span Miami Beach and the greater Miami area. Two of Miami’s most sought-after dining destinations, Area 31 and The Grill on the Alley reveal enticing menus at Miami Spice 2010.

Area 31’s three-course lunch, available every day of the week, offers options such as Watermelon Salad (with stone fruit and ricotta cheese) and Flat Iron Steak (with five bean and corn succotash and a red wine reduction). Area 31’s dinner menu is available Sunday through Thursday and is highlighted by sustainable menu items. The dinner menu begins with the appetizer Tuna Tartar (with sour citrus, caviar and capers) and features entrees including Local Yellowtail Snapper (with red lentil, sumac, and preserved citrus) and Braised Short Rib and Grilled Escolar (with Vidalia onion and sweet corn). Both the lunch and dinner menus offer Area 31’s delicious Semifreddo dessert (made with honeycomb, Greek yogurt and local fruit). Area 31 is located on the 16th Floor of EPIC Hotel at 270 Biscayne Blvd. Way, Miami, Florida 33131. For more information, please call Area 31 at 305.424.5234 or visit www.area31restaurant.com.

The Grill on the Alley is offering a more traditional three-course menu for lunch and dinner, available Sunday through Thursday. Both menus begin with an appetizer choice of The Grill Chop Salad or the Soup of the Day. The lunch menu features entrée choices such as Spinach Salad with Blackened Shrimp (with sliced mushrooms, red onion and egg tossed with warm bacon walnut vinaigrette and topped with blackened shrimp) and Chicken Piccata (with a lemon butter caper sauce and served with vegetables). Dinner entrée options include items such as Pan Seared Salmon with Shiitake Mushrooms (with lemon butter sauce and sautéed spinach) and the house specialty Skirt Steak (marinated in citrus juices, soy sauce and garlic and served with vegetables). The desserts featured on both the lunch and dinner menus are Chocolate Mousse (with hints of espresso and topped with fresh whipped cream) and Key Lime Pie (tangy lime custard in a graham cracker crust served with raspberry puree and topped with whipped cream). The Grill is located at 19501 Biscayne Boulevard, with an exterior entrance on the south side of Aventura Mall. For more information, please call 305.466.7195 or visit www.thegrill.com.
