Wine Walk Wednesday

For just $10, Wine Walkers will receive a commemorative wine glass and the chance to sample five unique wines and delectable hors d’oeuvres at various shops throughout The Village at Gulfstream Park. The $10 admission for April’s Wine Walk will benefit Kids in Distress. Wine Walk Wednesdays takes place Wednesday, April 6 from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Rain or shine.

Florida Derby Weekend

The 60th Annual Florida Derby will be packed with a ton of great events and races. The official Florida Derby cocktail reception takes place on Friday, April 1 from 7-10 p.m. Saturday, April 2 is Ladies’ Day featuring the Gulfstream Oaks Race, as well as a “Best Hat” contest, complimentary massages courtesy of Full Bodied Wine & Spa, free hair consultations by Nadia Paris Hair Salon, great giveaways and more! Beer Pong Competition

Beginning Thursday, April 14, the Miami New Times will host a weekly Beer Pong Competition at The Village at Gulfstream Park to benefit Hands on Miami, a local charity organization committed to making a difference in the community through social service. The Beer Pong Competition will feature exciting beer pong challenges, live entertainment, and free Pabst beer each week. Prizes will be awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place teams, and the 1st place winner of each week will earn their way into the final round. The grand prize winner of the final round (taking place on May 5) will receive $1,000 cash. A portion of the $10 registration fee per player will benefit Hands on Miami. The event takes place from 7:30 – 10:00 p.m. each Thursday (April 14, 21, 28; May 5) and is open to the public, 21 and older. Rain or shine. Tickets are $25 per person and all proceeds will benefit Gilda’s Club South Florida, whose mission is to create welcoming communities of free support for anyone living with cancer.
