MIAMI LAKES, Fla. – (October 16, 2009) – Anthony’s Coal Fired Pizza (ACFP), the South Florida-based concept that uses authentic coal-burning ovens to create “well done pizza,” opens its fourth Miami-Dade County restaurant today at 15492 NW 77th Court in Royal Oaks Plaza, Miami Lakes.  The location is off the Palmetto Expressway and 154th Street/Miami Lakes Drive near Don Shula’s Golf Club.
ACFP launched in 2002 and already has grown to 20 restaurants throughout South and Central Florida and Las Vegas.  Expansion plans include an additional location in Brandon, Florida this year.
Known for its high energy atmosphere and signature menu items, ACFP uses 800-degree anthracite coal-burning ovens and the highest quality ingredients.  Anthracite is known to be the ‘cleanest’ of coals, burning smoke free with extremely high heat.  Known for its simple and consistent menu, the restaurant also features its award-winning coal-oven-roasted chicken wings topped with grilled onions and signature Italian-style salad, as well as other Italian specialties. Founded by Anthony Bruno, ACFP’s partners include Hall of Fame football legend Dan Marino.
“We’ve been eyeing this Miami Lakes location for quite some time and are excited to bring our unique and authentic pizza experience to those who live and work in the area,” Bruno said. “We’ve had tremendous response from recent openings in Pinecrest and Doral and expect similar success in Miami Lakes.”

Hours of operation are from 11:30 a.m. – 10:30 p.m., Sunday through Thursday and 11:30 a.m. – 11:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday.  In addition to dining in, patrons have the option of take out by calling (305) 558-3950.
