Annual Symposium Focuses on Law and Business in the Americas

Friday and Saturday, February 8 and 9, 2019

The University of Miami Law Review 2019 Symposium, “Sin Límites: Law & Business at the Gateway to the Americas,” will examine the ways that attorneys, financiers, and other professionals guide their clients through cross-border investments and disputes, as well as the growth in international career opportunities that will accompany Miami’s transition from a regional hub to a hemispheric innovation center. Panelists will touch on a variety of themes, including hemispheric growth, cross border issues, governmental relations, and international dispute resolution.

 

WHO: Keynote speakers are former U. S. Secretary of Commerce Carlos Gutierrez and Larissa Zagustin, senior vice president and general counsel, Viacom International Media Networks Americas.

 

WHEN: Friday and Saturday, February 8 and 9, 2019. Registration will begin at 1:00 p.m.; the last panel of the day will finish at 6:00 p.m. On Saturday, registration begins at 9:00 a.m.; the final panel will finish at 2:00 p.m.

 

WHERE: The Donna E. Shalala Student Center, 1330 Miller Drive, on the Coral Gables campus.
