🏁 All-Female F1 Academy Series to Support 2024 Formula 1 Miami Grand Prix 🚗🏆
South Florida Motorsports (SFM), the organizers of the highly anticipated FORMULA 1 CRYPTO.COM MIAMI GRAND PRIX, have announced that the all-female F1 Academy series will be a support event for next year’s race. Set to take place on May 5-7, 2024, the event will be hosted at the Miami International Autodrome, adding an exciting dimension to the Formula 1 weekend.
The F1 Academy series, conceived in 2023, focuses on nurturing and developing female talent in motorsport, providing them with opportunities to progress to higher levels of competition. With five teams and fifteen drivers between the ages of 16 and 25, the series utilizes Formula 4-spec Tatuus chassis powered by a 1.4-litre engine capable of reaching speeds of up to 150mph. The identical cars, with impressive performance figures of 0-60mph in just 3.6 seconds, offer the perfect platform for aspiring young drivers to showcase their skills.
The inclusion of the F1 Academy series further solidifies the status of the FORMULA 1 CRYPTO.COM MIAMI GRAND PRIX as one of the standout races on the Formula 1 calendar. Over the past two events, the Miami International Autodrome has attracted over 240,000 enthusiastic spectators, and next year fans will have an exciting new way to experience the action with the introduction of the Grand Tour Experience.
For the first time, ticket holders will have the opportunity to choose from three different grandstand options, offering unique perspectives of the thrilling track action. On Sunday, spectators can select the Turn 1 Grandstand to witness the start of the race, while on both Friday and Saturday, they can relish two different vantage points from alternative grandstands. Additionally, ticket holders will have access to the general admission Miami Campus, which includes the chance to explore the 300 level of Hard Rock Stadium, view the F1 paddock Team Village, and enjoy the wide array of food and beverage offerings in areas like Race Street, the F1 Fan Zone, and the Marina.
