YOUTH FAIR Sunday FunDays

Now in its 62nd year, The Miami-Dade County Youth Fair & Exposition is excited to present Sunday FunDays, A-LIVE at the Fair. All three Sundays of the Youth Fair there will be special family events going on at the Main Stage from 12-5 p.m.

FREE Admission

§  Sunday FunDays- FREE admission to The Youth Fair every Sunday for youngsters 6-12 years of age with a paid admission and free kid’s coupon available at www.fairexpo.com/thefair/tickets. Youngsters five years of age and under are admitted free every day, all day and do not require a coupon.

 

Sunday, March 17th   Sunday FunDay Celebrates the Arts

 

§  YO GABBA GABBA MEET & GREET

Meet the Yo Gabba Gabba gang at 1 p.m., 2 p.m., 3 p.m., 4 p.m. and 5 p.m.

§  ART DAY AT THE YOUTH FAIR WITH UNITY STREET ART

Experience the unique artwork of artists Trek 6, Jay Bellicchi, Andrew Antonaccio, Eva Ruiz and Alex Yanes beginning at 1 p.m. and presented by SoulaBooking.

§  ACTIVITIES BY ARTSOUTH HOMESTEAD

§  WIN– Listen to 97.3 The Coast for a chance to win a private meet & Greet with Yo Gabba Gabba, plus a Family 4 Pack to The Youth Fair.

 

Sunday, March 24th    Wild Sunday FunDay

 

§  ZooMiami

Beginning at 4 p.m., meet RON MAGILL and his animal friends. Enjoy a special ANIMAL ENCOUNTER where fairgoers will also be able to meet ZooMiami mascots Gigi the Giraffe, Kaz the Rhino and Pio the Red-Billed Oxpecker. Get up close and personal with animals from ZooMiami. It’s sure to be a wild time.

Sunday, March 31st   Fantasy Sunday FunDay

 

§  THE NEW DISNEY ANNUAL PASS INTERACTIVE EXPERIENCE

Delight as the magical world of Disney brings families a one-of-a-kind interactive experience with 97.3 FM The Coast.  Fairgoers can register to play an interactive video game inside the Disney tent. One lucky family will have the chance to win annual passes, water park day tickets, Disney day passes or a collectible vinylmation on a prize wheel. Everyone will also be able to take pictures in front of four different theme-park backdrops.

§  KIDZ BOP CONCERT

Everyone can jam along with Billboard’s #1 kids artist Kidz Bop! Kidz Bop takes the stage at 4:30 p.m.

§  CAPTAIN JACK SPARROW LOOK-A-LIKE CONTEST

Argh Matey! Captain Jack look-alikes will compete to win this contest that takes place from 2-4 p.m. Meet a professional Captain Jack Sparrow impersonator that will wow audiences and make for a great photo op.

§  ACTIVITIES BY ARTSOUTH HOMESTEAD

§  WIN- Listen to 97.3 FM The Coast to win a VIP package of a Family Four Pack, which includes a Kidz Bop CD and a Pirates of the Caribbean DVD.

§  MEET & TAKE PHOTOS WITH THE EASTER BUNNY

 

The ZUZU AFRICAN ACROBATS will tumble onto the Main Stage each Sunday beginning at 12 p.m. They are a never before seen entertainment spectacular from the heart of Africa. Check out their pyramid building, limbo, contortion, bottle balancing, tumbling and chair stacks. Also, during each Sunday FunDay, visitors will be able to check out creative Decorative Garden Art items available for sale.

 

Each Sunday, kids will also learn to spin plates, juggle scarves, hula hoop and much more!

 

“NBC 6 in the Mix” will feature a picture of the day each Sunday FunDay.    

 

The Youth Fair is located on Coral Way (SW 24th St.) at 112th Ave. Gates open on weekdays at 3 p.m., Saturdays & Sundays at 12 p.m. and at 12 p.m. during Spring break, which takes place March 22 – 28, 2013.

 

The Youth Fair also offers many amenities for families, including: stroller and wheelchair rental, lost & found, paved walkways, convenient sitting areas, lush landscape, diaper changing facilities/restrooms and more. Sponsors include KIA Motors, Pepsi and Sedano’s Supermarkets.
