Brightline Launches Freedom Express Train to Celebrate America’s 250th Anniversary in South Florida

Brightline has unveiled its new Freedom Express train, a striking symbol of American history created in partnership with America250, the organization commemorating the nation’s 250th birthday. The debut event takes place Monday, February 16, 2026, at MiamiCentral station, featuring a reception with remarks from FRA Administrator David Fink and Siemens Mobility CEO Tobias Bauer, along with a special fireside chat on presidential history in South Florida led by historian Dr. Paul George, in collaboration with HistoryMiami Museum.

The 10-coach Freedom Express features a bold exterior design showcasing key moments from U.S. history, forming a visual timeline that makes it one of Brightline’s most eye-catching train unveilings. The event will honor local heroes, including first responders, who will enjoy the inaugural ride aboard the patriotic wrapped train, which is adorned with images reflecting America’s past.

Attendees will enjoy cultural celebrations, including red, white, and blue decor and photo opportunities with first responders and officials. The event underscores Brightline’s commitment to celebrating American heritage and honoring those who serve. The debut at MiamiCentral also highlights the importance of history and community in South Florida’s ongoing story.

For more details, the event takes place from 10:45 a.m. to 2:15 p.m. at Brightline West Palm Beach Station, located at 501 Evernia Street.
