From December 5th to 7th, Maison Ruinart continues its acclaimed Conversations with Nature series at Art Basel Miami Beach, presenting a new commission by Sam Falls. Known for his elemental, site-responsive paintings, Falls creates botanical portraits using local flowers, leaves, and natural pigments influenced by weather, sunlight, and time.
Inspired by his immersion in Ruinart’s historic vineyard in Champagne, Falls’s works reflect the vineyard’s ecology and Ruinart’s dedication to sustainable viticulture. The compositions evoke regional architecture, referencing Reims Cathedral’s stained-glass windows and Ruinart’s chalk cellars, blending art, nature, and tradition in a compelling tribute to ecological harmony.
