Fresh off a sold-out run at The Edinburgh Fringe Festival, Tim Murray brings his spooky debut comedy hour,
WITCHES!, to the Arsht Center. He received rave reviews, won Best Musical Theatre Show and was named a Playbill Pick of the Fringe! The show is part drag show and part standup, and features original songs about his favorite pop culture witches.
The show is a tribute to LGBTQia people and how we discover our magic once we find our coven. Murray speaks to the many queer people who feel as if they have to hide themselves to fit in and how their powers grow stronger once they find their queer family.
From The Craft to Wicked, the Sanderson Sisters, Sabrina the Teenage Witch and Anjelica Huston’s Grand High Witch, Murray celebrates famous sorceresses throughout history and uses their stories as a parallel to the queer witch hunt.
