This Saturday, October 26, prepare for a spine-tingling day of hands-on science at the Frost Science Museum. The 8th Annual Spooky Science Monster Mash promises radical chemistry reactions and eerie experiments in the Mad Science Lab that are so much fun they’re almost scary!
Join forces with scientists from the FIU-Biscayne Bay Campus Science Club, Barry University Chemistry Club, University of Miami Chemistry Club, MDC STEM Student Association, and the DLR Foundation as they help celebrate National Chemistry Week. With museum admission, you can enjoy the thrilling Spooky Science programming for free.
Members of the museum get special access to the madness early! From 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., dive into exclusive experiments in the Members-Only Mad Science Lab before a special Meet the Scientist presentation at 11:00 a.m. featuring Dr. Mireya Mayor, a National Geographic Explorer celebrated for her adventurous spirit and expertise in primatology.
Don’t miss live shows like “Meet the Scientist: A Wild Life & Bigfoot” at 11:00 a.m., and watch Frost Science divers carve jack-o-lanterns underwater at 11:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. Plus, learn about safety in a comical twist during the “Science of Survival Show” at noon, 1:30 p.m. and 3:00 p.m.
Throughout the day, various activities will be available, from spooky swag giveaways to hands-on experiments like chromatography and invisible ink. But beware—events have limited capacity and participation is on a first-come, first-served basis!
Join us for a hauntingly good time, where embarking on thrilling scientific adventures is bound to leave you marveling at the wonders of the universe!
