8th ANNUAL SALON DES REFUSÉS EXHIBITION

8th Annual Salon des Refusés exhibition. The Salon des Refusés is named after the celebrated Salon des Refusés exhibition of 1863, in Paris, in which the Impressionists exhibited their revolutionary new paintings that had been “refused” by the French Academy. Presented by the Department of Art and Art History, in the College of Arts and Sciences (CAS) at the University of Miami, this version of the Salon des Refusés will showcase the work of students who entered the Annual Juried Student Competition and were not accepted.

WHEN: April 4-25. In celebration of the event there will be an opening reception at 5pm, Friday, April 5, along with the art and art history department’s annual BBQ.
