6th Annual Coral Gables Restaurant Week presented by Bacardi U.S.A

tasteDowntown Coral Gables will celebrate its 6th Annual Coral Gables Restaurant Week presented by Bacardi U.S.A., Inc. (Bacardi USA) from June 10-June 30 with exciting new restaurants and more unique events.  This year, forget about all the brooding over what you missed, and instead just thank us for the extra week of culinary brilliance with three whole weeks of amazing prix-fixe menus at your favorite restaurants in Coral Gables.

We kick it all off with the Taste of the Gables at the Westin Colonnade Hotel June 6, where guests will be able to enjoy a first taste of new restaurants such as Swine Southern Table & Bar, Sushi Samba, and Azucar Cuban Cuisine. And while all participating restaurants are showcasing their menus for three weeks, some will offer new ticketed events for the foodie who wants a special and unique experience; these include Cibo Wine Bar, Seasons 52, Swine Southern Table & Bar, and Talavera Cocina Mexicana.

 

For three weeks, participating restaurants will offer special three-course lunch and dinner menus and guests (21 years of age and older) can pair those meals with the classic original BACARDÍ Mojito Cocktail, the official cocktail of Coral Gables Restaurant Week. There are more than 30 restaurants participating this year including sizzling newcomers Azucar Cuban Cuisine, Bread + Butter Counter, Bulla Gastrobar, Castelluccio Ristorante, Christy’s Restaurant, Sushi Samba, Swine Southern Table & Bar, and La Taberna Giralda. Other favorites participating this year include Anacapri on Ponce, Angelique Euro Cafe, Benihana, Caffe Abbracci, Caffe Vialetto, California Pizza Kitchen, Cibo Wine Bar, Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar, Fritz & Franz Bierhaus, John Martin’s Irish Pub & Restaurant, La Dorada, Le Provencal, Morton’s The Steakhouse, Ortanique on the Mile, Red Koi Thai & Sushi Lounge, Randazzo’s Little Italy, Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse, Seasons 52,  Spritz, Sushi Maki, Talavera Cocina Mexicana, Tarpon Bend Raw Bar & Grill, The Dome, The Globe, and The Local.

 

Menu items include succulent dishes like Swine’s Shrimp n’ Grits, Caffe Vialetto’s Pear Ravioli, winner of the Best Taste at Taste of the Gables 2012, and the Huevos Bulla at you guessed it, Bulla, one of their signature, mouthwatering dishes. Taste of the Gables, considered the sneak peak or “appetizer” to Coral Gables Restaurant Week, is a ticketed event happening June 6 at the Westin Colonnade 180 Aragon Avenue in Coral Gables.  Expect to sample mouth-watering and delectable dishes from your favorite Coral Gables Restaurant Week participants, and vote for the “Best Taste of the Gables.”  Advance tickets are $25 for general admission and $50 for VIP ($35 and $65 at the door, if available) and can be purchased on www.coralgablesrestaurantweek.com.
