This November19-26, 2012, thousands of guests from all walks of life will take over Miami for a lineup of the most fabulous fundraising events for HIV/AIDS fundraising. Produced by Care Resource, White Party Week which is also called the “Crown Jewel” of HIV/AIDS fundraisers is the largest and oldest 100% HIV/AIDS benefit in the world. Benefiting men, women, and youth affected with this disease White Party Week has steadily grown over the course of 28 years into a gigantic magnet drawing in people from the four corners of the Earth. The festivities which are a week long reach a pinnacle on Saturday November 24, 2012 for The White Party main event.
White Party Week takes on a whole new persona this year as they take on a new theme, main event location, and new more fabulous events. RESET is the main theme of this year’s White Party Week. The meaning of theme RESET was fully explained by White Party’s Public Relations Director Joe DePiro,” RESET has less to do with the White Party and more to do with trends in HIV/AIDS. This disease is going through a paradigm shift from what was once a white, gay male demographic to one that is much more diverse. 50% of new HIV infections are in youth under 25 years old. This information warrants a “RESET.” What began as a grand pristine white-themed cocktail affair among a circle of close gay friends reacting to the AIDS crisis is now a major international event attracting over 10,000 participants.”
White Party Week 2012 pushes the RESET theme as this year’s go around features activities, parties, and special events to cater to everyone who is seeking to have a great time while helping a much needed cause. White Party Week 2012 kicks off Monday November 19th at EROS Lounge Miami for a spectacular event. Sponsored by Chambord Vodka this event is a Madonna Marathon Tribute as she has been a longtime supporter of White Party and its endeavors. This event serves as a short warm up as Tuesday November 20th continues in Madonna style as Grand Central Miami Nightclub will host the MDNA: The official after party of Madonna’s MDNA tour stop in Miami. In true Madonna style DJ Tracy Young also known as “Madonna’s it girl” will be providing the sounds for this special event. The White Party main event is the top of the mountain for White Party Week. Taking place Saturday, November 24, 2012 at SOHO Studios in the Wynwood District The White Party has been known for years as the premier event in Miami. Every year The White Party is known for pushing the limits of entertainment, décor, and production to the delight of sellout crowds every year. Past performances at White Party by Jennifer Lopez, Cindy Lauper, and Madonna means having to meet rising expectations and this year is no different. SOHO Studios was chosen as the new venue it boasts over 64,000 square feet of space which is made specifically for large scale events, fashion shows, and film production. The White Party kicks off with a fabulous fashion show by very talented designers which will feature over the top fashion in true White Party style. Keep event goers moving to high intensity beats will be DJ Paulo and DJ Danny Verde. Chart topping diva Crystal Waters who is known for electric vocals and performances is set to blow the crowd away. Events goers should expect brilliant production to include lighting and décor.
