Hot Wheels Legends Tour Coming to North America
The world’s largest traveling car show, the Hot Wheels Legends Tour, is set to come to North America this year, and car enthusiasts are already gearing up for the event. The tour, which started in 2018 to commemorate the 50th Anniversary of Hot Wheels, has grown from a series of local Walmart events across the United States to a global competition, attracting builders and automotive fans from around the world.
This year’s tour will kick off on May 13 with an in-person event at Walmart in Miami, Florida, followed by similar events in Charlotte, Atlanta, Detroit, Chicago, Houston, Dallas, and Phoenix, before culminating in a virtual Global Grand Finale on November 11.
According to Ted Wu, Vice President of Global Marketing at Hot Wheels, “The Hot Wheels Legends Tour celebrates the passion and creativity of car enthusiasts who build their dream cars and bring them to life. We believe that these one-of-a-kind builds are at their best on the open road, and are excited to help bring that to life.”
Previous winners of the Hot Wheels Legends Tour include the 2JetZ™, THE NASH™, 1970 Pontiac® Firebird™, 1969 Volvo P1800 Gasser, and last year’s champion, the ultra-custom 1992 Autozam Scrum micro truck called “Texas Toot.”
