The Eleventh Annual South Beach Comedy Festival has just announced its dates for 2016. Looking to continue its laugh-filled tradition of bringing the best comedy entertainment to South Florida, this year’s event will run from Wednesday, April 6th to Sunday, April 10th. Lewis Black has already been lined up as the first act for the Festival. He will be appearing on Friday, April 8th and Reserved Seat tickets go on sale Friday, November 6th / 10AMShows will be held at The Fillmore Miami Beach at the Jackie Gleason Theater and The Gleason Room Backstage at the Fillmore.
Live Nation returns as the sole producers of the Festival handling all marketing, PR, talent booking and production.
Lewis Black brings “The Emperor’s New Clothes: The Naked Truth Tour” to the intimate Fillmore Miami Beach at the Jackie Gleason Theater Friday, April 8th / 8PM as part of the South Beach Comedy Festival. Known as “the king of the rant,” Lewis Black uses his trademark style of comedic yelling and animated finger-pointing to skewer anything and anyone that gets under his skin. His comedic brilliance lies in his ability to make people laugh at the absurdities of life, with topics that include current events, social media, politics and anything else that exposes the hypocrisy and madness he sees in the world. In addition to his professional pursuits, Lewis is dedicated to a number of charitable organizations. He also supports our military personnel and has performed in 3 tours with the USO where he visited several Middle East and European military bases. In his leisure time, Lewis likes to play golf, even though golf hates him.
