2015 NCBA NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP LIVE AT BB&T CENTER APRIL 2015

Sunrise Sports & Entertainment announced today that the National Collegiate Boxing Association (NCBA) National Championship will be held April 10-12, 2015. Quarterfinals and Semifinals will be held at the DoubleTree by Hilton Sunrise, Sawgrass Mills on April 10 and 11, with the championship round held at BB&T Center on April 12.

 

Tickets go on sale Friday, February 27, 2015 at 10am and can be purchased at ticketmaster.com800.745.3000, or at BB&T Center Box Office. Tickets start at $10 and are subject to change.

 

With over 30 colleges and universities participating, the NCBA Championships showcase the best men and women collegiate boxers from campuses across the country to include the four Service Academies and other perennial contenders like the University of Nevada-Reno, West Virginia University and Penn State University.  Last year’s team champions, the United States Military Academy (Men’s) and the University of Washington (Women’s) will be back to defend their crowns.

 

“The NCBA builds the character of student athletes, helping them to succeed both inside and outside of the ring.” said Ken Cooper, NCBA President.

 

The NCBA is a group member of USA Boxing, with the mission to provide a safe, positive educational experience for student athletes and encourage participation at the intramural, instructional, recreational, and compeitive amateur boxing levels.

 

The Quarterfinals and Semifinals at the DoubleTree by Hilton Sunrise will begin at 1pm and go into the evening on both April 10 and April 11, 2015.  Attendance at these events is free.

 

The NCBA Championship Round at BB&T Center will begin at 2pm on April 12, 2015. Doors open at 1pm.
