The American Cancer Society will host the 2013 Centennial Gala on Saturday, April 27th at the Trump Doral Golf Resort and Spa. More than eight-hundred influential leaders within Miami’s social and corporate communities will gather for a night of elegance, exquisite food, and live entertainment to celebrate 100 years of progress in the fight against cancer. The cocktail reception, silent auction and red-carpet will start at 6:30 p.m., followed by dinner and dancing at 8:30 p.m.
Chairpersons for this year’s gala fundraiser are Pedro and Madeleine Munilla and Co-Chairs are Michael and Teresita Haskett. Felipe and Lourdes Valls serve as Honorary Chairs. Carnival Cruise Lines will be recognized as the night’s Honoree for their dedication to the fight against cancer and their philanthropic partnership with the American Cancer Society Dade Unit. The silent auction will feature an array of items such as vacation packages, fabulous jewelry, and more! During the live auction, attendees will be challenged to raise money to help “Finish the Fight.” We believe our 100th birthday is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to celebrate our lifesaving progress, raise additional funds to finish the fight, and demonstrate that cancer’s time is up.
