2011 Yacht & Brokerage Show in Miami Beach Throttles Up With New Attractions

From Feb. 17 – 21, The Yacht & Brokerage Show in Miami Beach, Miami’s premier in-water boat show, is set to take over Miami Beach’s Collins Avenue, presenting yachts and superyachts from the world’s most extraordinary custom boat builders. The show is free and open to the public.

This year’s show is throttling up to be better than ever with many new and exciting attractions including more boats than previous years, more exhibitor booths and larger floating tents. The new Yacht Equipment Pavilion and Sportfishing Pavilion offer show goers the perfect setting to experience the latest in marine gear, electronics and gadgets and enjoy International Game Fish Association seminars, while being surrounded by the latest in yacht and sportfishing design.Also new this year is Megayacht Row: 20 slips featuring a collection of the biggest boats in the show, boasting the latest technology and design from the world’s premier yacht builders.

The Yacht & Brokerage Show will feature more than 500 new and pre-owned vessels valued at more than a billion dollars and covering more than 1.2 million square feet of space over a mile-long strip of the Indian Creek Waterway in the heart of beautiful Miami Beach along Collins Avenue (S.R. A1A) from 41st to 51st Streets, situated directly across from landmark hotels such as the Fontainebleau, Eden Roc and Miami Beach Resort and Spa.

Making its U.S. debut is the Aquariva Gucci, an exclusive, made-to-order vessel customized by Gucci Creative Director Frida Giannini. This yacht, collaborated upon by Gucci, Riva and Officina Italiana Design, is one of the activities marking Gucci’s 90th anniversary year in 2011.

Parking is available around the show area between 64th and 85th Streets and Collins Avenue.  Signage will direct show attendees to parking and FREE shuttle buses. The Yacht & Brokerage Show offers free shuttle service to and from the Miami International Boat Show sites at the Miami Beach Convention Center and the Sea Isle Marina & Yachting Center. Shuttle service to both locations begins one hour before the show opens and runs continuously until one hour after the show closes on all show days.

Also new this year, valet parking will be available from the east side of Collins Avenue in front of the city parking lot on the 4600 block.
